We noticed the ASC e-mail server was down again today. So did some of our sources, including one who noted:
"ASC e-mail was down this morning for a while. The HELP desk said it was for the same reason as last Wednesday -- the faculty server was the problem. Faculty=problem."
Could it be that ASC president Uma Gupta wants to "protect" the faculty from all that nasy spam out there? Or is it that she knows she is already in serious trouble with the faculty and is trying to hide the ever-growing evidence of her incompetence.
We wonder what could have prompted this particular e-mail shutdown? Could it be that Deb Putnam was under orders to intercept the Memorial Day e-mails we sent? Has Putnam figured out yet that the only e-mails we sent to ASC were to Gupta and Tyrell and that (once again) Gupta was over reacting?
Apparently Gupta still hasn't realized that shutting down e-mail servers and trying to prevent the information from being made public is not a solution to her problems. It's too late. The word is out. Most of the ASC (and Alfred) community has already figured out where to access this blog when they want to read it. The comments we received on our Memorial Day post show that.
If you notice we're not writing as much on this blog over the next couple of weeks, don't worry. It's not that we've been hunted down and silenced. We are simply taking a short hiatus to recharge our batteries. We will be checking comments and e-mails, so stay in touch.
